To meet your specific needs, we give you three versions of the Instant DeviceNet Enabler from our Instant Communications line to choose from. We now offer our standard Instant DeviceNet enabler, Instant DeviceNet-X (expanded with more I/O lines), and Instant DeviceNet-MB (a Modbus RTU solution).
This small microcontroller is preloaded with a complete DeviceNet application. You can now enable DeviceNet on any device in hours, not days, weeks or months using the DeviceNet Enabler – a simple, cost effective solution. It provides a means for end users to create their own DeviceNet enabled device without having to write any DeviceNet software or even any application software.
All versions of our Instant DeviceNet Enabler are fully functional Group 2 Only Slave devices. When I/O data is exchanged with a DeviceNet Master, the Instant DeviceNet Enabler is a configurable IO slave device with:
- Up to 29 bidirectional I/O lines for up to 29 inputs, 29 outputs or any combination of 29 inputs and outputs
- Up to 4 Analog Inputs
- 2 Analog/PWM Outputs
- ASCII Send and Receive
And best of all, the Instant DeviceNet Enabler is fully configurable. If desirable, you can set the Vendor ID, Product Code and Serial Number. Devices using the Instant DeviceNet enabler become your device for all intents and purposes. It’s the best of all worlds. You can even add our Instant DeviceNet Enabler to one of your machines using our development kit to make sure it is the right fit for you before deciding to make a bigger commitment.
