You can now control your Altivar 31 Drives from any EtherNet/IP Client quickly and easily with the EtherNet/IP option card from Real Time Automation. Developed specifically for the Altivar 31 Drive you can field upgrade your Altivar 31 Drives to have EtherNet/IP and EtherNet/IP communications.
The AV31 Ethernet option card transforms your Altivar 31 Drive into an EtherNet/IP Drive device supporting the same drive register interface as the AV31’s Modbus RTU Slave. That means that everything you could do over Modbus RTU and RS485 can now be done over EtherNet/IP.

| The Altivar 31 Ethernet Option Card exchanges Modbus RTU data with the Altivar 31 Drive. The drive data from the AV31 is mapped to drive register data in the option card and presented to the EtherNet/IP network. The same register interface used for Modbus RTU and RS485 is used for EtherNet/IP and Ethernet. All drive register data can be accessed from EtherNet/IP using the identical register set as is used for Modbus RTU. |
