EtherNet/IP™ is one of the world’s fastest growing industrial automation networks. With support from hundreds of vendors, EtherNet/IP™ encompasses applications ranging from automotive to food processing, to pharmaceuticals and pulp processing. New market areas and new applications are being introduced daily.

Now you can create an EtherNet/IP device in hours, not days, weeks or months using Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip. This small microcontroller comes preloaded with an entire EtherNet/IP application. It provides an easy solution for end users to create their own EtherNet/IP device without having to write any EtherNet/IP software – or application software!
To meet your specific needs, we give you two versions of Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip to choose from. We now offer our standard version of Instant EtherNet/IP on a chip as well as Instant Ethernet-X (expanded with more I/O lines).
All versions of Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip are fully functional EtherNet/IP Server devices with predefined I/O points.  When I/O data is exchanged with an EtherNet/IP Master, the Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip is a configurable IO server device with:

  • Up to 47 bidirectional I/O lines for up to 47 inputs, 47 outputs or any combination of 27 inputs and outputs
  • Up to 4 Analog Inputs
  • 2 Analog/PWM Outputs
  • ASCII Send and Receive

Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip is also a fully functional EtherNet/IP Serial gateway device that supports a binary and ASCII protocol:

  • ASCII Protocol – ASCII data from barcode readers, scales, RFID Systems or other ASCII devices is transmitted and received from an EtherNet/IP Client device. You can set zero to two header characters and zero to two trailer characters to delineate the ASCII message.
  • BINARY Protocol – For devices that want to exchange binary data with an EtherNet/IP Client, you can send and receive binary data through the Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip. The Binary protocol uses DLE STX Header characters and DLE ETX Trailer characters with a CRC for error detection. This feature is perfect for devices like scales that need to send weights, setpoints and other binary data.

And best of all, the Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip is fully configurable. You can set the Vendor ID, Product Code and Serial Number. Devices using the Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip become your device for all intents and purposes. Complete customization, Fast Time to Market, Guaranteed Certification and Low Risk EtherNet/IP product development. It really is the best of all worlds.
To assure you Instant EtherNet/IP on a Chip is the perfect fit for you and your company, we offer our Instant EtherNet/Ip on a Chip Development kit. Out kit comes with everything you need to enable EtherNet/IP to one of your machines allowing for a low commitment trial before deciding to make a bigger investment.
